Product Attribute Pictures supports as many picture sets as you'd like to create for your product's info page.
Picture sets can consist of:
1) Attribute Images - These are images which are directly linked (i.e. representative of) attributes that you have either already set up in the 'Product Attributes' section of the native admin component, or intend to do in future. Typically, you would set 'Ignore Product Attributes' to 'No' in PAPs admin to create attribute-linked image sets. If you are using attribute image sets, you will have the option of displaying price differentials beneath each thumbnail and allowing customers to make attribute selections for inclusion in the cart via clicking/hovering over thumbnails or using radio buttons. If you are using multiple attribute image sets and want to allow customers to make selection from each set, it is recommended that you use radio buttons as the means of attribute selection, so that users can see which attribute option they have selected from each set.
2) Non-Attribute Pictures - These images are not associated with existing product attributes and can represent any other aspects of the product. You would use this type of image set to create a gallery of alternative views of your product, for example. You would normally set 'Ignore Product Attributes' to 'Yes' in PAPs admin after uploading your images to create sets of non-attribute pictures. The names of non-attribute pictures can be changed any time in the PAPs admin page.
Regardless of which type of sets you use, you can create any number of either for each product. Furthermore, certain settings can be configured on a per-set basis so that different sets can have differently sized thumbnails on the same page, for example, or some sets can allow attribute selection and some can't. The number of thumbnails per row is also configured on a per-set basis, so a set with bigger images could be set to have fewer images per row to maintain the overall symmetry of the layout. You can also hide or show attribute set names or individual image set names.
