Good morning: We are evaluating PAP 4.0 for ZenCart on a MAMP server and we are getting the following error: Site error: the file /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/sailorbags/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/paps.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_dar_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator. Since we are the site administrator, and we don't have the foggiest idea what this means, we will need a bit of help with this. Regards George

Thanks for your enquiry.



You will notice in the zip file you downloaded there's a folder called 'ioncube'. You need to transfer this folder together with its contents into the root folder of your store, or preferably into its parent folder if possible.

Still no joy. I have moved the ioncube directory to the htdocs directory, one above the website directory, I have placed the proper loader, ioncube_loader_dar_5.2.so, as per the helper, in the ioncube directory, and I have added the following line ;zend_extension="/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/ioncube/ioncube_loader_dar_5.2.so" to the php.ini file.

BTW I am running php5.x

This is not going well at all. I have done a fresh install of ZenCart on another machine running MAMP with a fresh install of PAPS. I have spent over a day on this and am no farther ahead than when I started.

A couple of things you could look at (if you haven't already) are:



1) Running the ioncube/ioncube-loader-helper.php file for diagnostics



2) Find out if you are running PHP in threaded mode or not. If you are, you need your php.ini to point to ioncube_loader_dar_5.2_ts.so , remembering to restart the server once the change has been made.



I'd be happy to help directly with the installation if it were on an online dev server, but with a local Mac server there's not a whole lot more I can do apart from suggest a few links which may be useful:

Well, we have now loaded PAP on an Apache web server here: hds-amd.com/sailorbags/

It looks as if the paps.php file can't find the appropriate loader.

Our web server shows this path to the ioncube loader , and I have modified the php.ini accordingly (attached).
