Giving customers as much relevent information as possible without cluttering up the page is a chief goal for web designers. Using CSS tooltips with Product Attribute Picture thumbnails eases this balancing act.

Each thumbnail - whether or not linked to a product attribute - can be assigned its own tooltip. Tooltips contain a header area and a body area, each of which can be configured to have its own color scheme and font. The tooltips are displayed when a visitor hovers over the thumbnail, and disappears when the cursor leaves the thumbnail. Only thumbnails can be set up for use with tooltips.

You can further customize the appearance of tooltip content by adding HTML tags when creating or editing the content. Tooltip management is handled in the PAPs admin page for the given product and is driven by Javascript, so any changes you make to the tooltip content are saved without needing to refresh the page.
