We offer wide ranging customization services for PAPs to make it fit your requirements perfectly. Here are some of the modifications we are most regularly asked to make. For any other modifications, please send us your requirements via the 'Contact Us' page.

1) Replace default product image with PAPs (MOD:001)

The enlarged PAPs image will be positioned in the place of the default product image so that it will change when the thumbnails are clicked/hovered over, or when their radio buttons are clicked. There are two main variations for this modification:

i) Maintain PAPs layout  - The relative positions of thumbnails and enlarged picture are maintained as defined in the PAPs admin component, so thumbnails will appear directly to the left, right, top or bottom of the enlarged image.

ii) Split PAPs layout -  The default positional relationship between thumbnails and the enlarged image is split so that thumbnails can appear anywhere within the product info page and still cause the enlarged image to change when they are activated.

2) Change enlarged PAPs image when native attribute dropdown selections are changed (MOD: 002)

The default native attribute selection dropdowns will still be used to select attribute options for inclusion in the shopping cart as normal. However, each time the dropdown selection is changed, the enlarged PAPs image will change to display the selected attribute option picture and if you are using the PAPs automatic price update feature the product price will also be updated. Thumbnails can be either hidden or displayed as required.

3) Link the thumbnail manipulation and attribute option selection methods (MOD: 003)

By default, PAPs allows users to enlarge thumbnails by either clicking/hovering on them or clicking on a radio button beneath each one. This customization will link the 3 actions so that, for example, if the user clicks on a thumbnail, the radio button beneath it will be checked, and if the radio button is checked, the behaviour for clicking the corresponding thumbnail is triggered. The same applies to hovering. If a thumbnail is hovered over, it's radio button will be checked and so on.

4) Create Merged Attribute Pictures (MAPs) On-the-fly (MOD:004)

By default, PAPs automatically creates merged attribute pictures and saves them on the server for retrieval as required by users when browsing attribute image combinations. For stores with products that contain large numbers of possible attribute combinations this can lead to tens of thousands of merged images being created, which can quickly diminish available disk space.

This modification saves disk space by preventing MAPs from being saved on the server, and creates the merged images on-the-fly each time the user selects any given attribute combination.

5) OpenCart Only - Have the PAPs display appear in its own tab next to the default OpenCart product tabs (MOD: 005)

Save precious space in your product pages by containing PAPs output in its own tab. The title of the tab is dynamically set to reflect the PAPs option names available inside it, or you can specify a static tab name. The PAPs display within the tab can be fully controlled as per usual via PAPs admin.

6) PAPs Swatches in Product Listing Pages (MOD:006)

When a customer searches for products they will usually either use the search function or browse the category pages of your store. In both cases, they will be presented with a product listing page that usually will show all the products in the returned search results or category. Typical presentation of each of these products is an image, product name, price and a link to go to the product's individual info page.

This modification will allow products that have previously been set up with swatch images via PAPs to show the swatch thumbnails below the product image and have the product image change when the swatches are clicked, so the user can actually view the different attribute pictures whilst in the product listing page.
